Massage is one of the oldest natural therapies and there are reportedly over 80 types of massage therapy. In all of them, therapists press, rub, and manipulate the muscles and other soft tissues of the body using varying pressure and movement.
The purpose of massage is to relax the soft tissues, increase delivery of blood and oxygen to the massaged areas, warm them, and decrease pain.
I offer two types of Swedish massage: full body, and back, neck & shoulder.
I'll work with you to establish where to concentrate to give you the most beneficial treatment and can also offer a combination of massage and Reflexology within one session if there is a particular area of pain or tension that needs targeting.
